Fort Myers Beach is just 7 miles long and narrow - so traffic gets hairy during the months of March and April. Fort Myers Beach is also an INCORPORATED city all it's own!

Here, the turquoise blue to bright green water of the Gulf of Mexico laps at the powdery, white sands and seashells - for the collector in everyone. Called the "world's safest beach" it's ideal for family vacations, for there are no steep drop-offs, riptides or undertows.
Also, a short drive south puts you on Lovers Key and the famous "doggie beach".
Fishing and boating are popular pastimes for residents and visitors alike - there are even restaurants you can get to by boat for lunch or dinner.
Everywhere you go wildlife is abundant. Shore birds such as egrets, pelicans, spoonbills, seagulls and herons are found near every body of water, from the gulf to the back bay. Even a bald eagle can be spotted soaring over our islands. Dolphins frequently play nearby! Local shrimpers and fisherman bring their catches in to Main Street docks--it doesn't get any fresher than THIS!
Houses or condos are available either ON a canal (keep your boat right there) , or golf course views, and simply - OFF WATER.
